This is a Middle School tournament in Minnesota.

The RTR Knights invite your team to the 2024 RTR Jr. High Speech Invitationalon Thursday, February 22.  All students in grades 6-9 are eligible to compete in all 13 Minnesota State High School League categories.  

Registration Deadline: Wednesday, February 21

Location: RTR High School, 111 County Road 8., Tyler, MN 56178

Schedule:      3:15-3:30........... Registration       (3:45……Draws for Round 1)

                        4:15...................... Round 1         (5:00……Draws for Round 2)

                        5:30...................... Round 2         

                        6:45...................... Round 3         (previous draw for Round 3)

                        8:00...................... Awards

Arrival: Buses may drop off students in the driveway loop off County Road 8 or in the parking lot to the south of the building.

Registration: The tournament is open to students in grades 6 through 9. Please complete/update registrations by Wednesday, February 21.  Please enter all drops and adds on Speechwire.

Judges:  You must provide one judge for every six students or fraction thereof you register.  We will most likely not have any judges available for hire. Judges should bring an electronic device for recording ballots and critiques. Paper ballots will be available if necessary.

Awards:  We will have awards for place winners from 1^st through 6^th place. 

Concessions:  Various food and drink items will be available in the Commons. Students can set up camp in the Commons.

Fees:  Entry fees are $7.00 per contestant and $14.00 per dramatic duo.  Please make checks payable to RTR Schools. Invoices will be available at the registration tables, and schools paying by check may pay at that time as well.
