Prescott High School Speech Invitational

The Prescott High School Speech team would like to invite you and your team to the Prescott High School Speech Invitational on January 27, 2024. We will be using the WISDAA rules in all sixteen categories. The following information describes tournament rules and requirements:
ENTRIES: Entry fees are $7.00 per individual entry and $12.00 per group entry. Students may double enter. Checks should be made out to Prescott High School Speech Team.
JUDGES: Each school must bring one judge for every six entries or fraction thereof. We will have a VERY limited number of judges available for hire. Judges must bring technology needed to conduct e-balloting for all rounds and must have a valid email account in Speechwire. NO PAPER critiques or ballots will be used.
EXTEMP AND RADIO DRAW: There will be wifi available for Extempers (CardinalGuest). We also will offer digital draw if students would like to try it, but the normal paper draws will be available as well. All students who use digital draw or the internet for Extemporaneous Speaking will be expected to have their own device charged and ready to go.
AWARDS: There will be awards for first through fifth place in each category. Sweepstakes will be awarded to the top three teams.
FOOD: Concessions will be provided all morning. Students are more than welcome to bring their own refreshments, but all food must be consumed in the commons area.
ENTRY DEADLINE: The entry deadline is Monday, January 22 at 5:00 p.m. on Speechwire. Teams can and should manage their own drops on Speechwire until Wednesday (1/24/23) at 3 p.m. Fees will be assessed at that time. After Wednesday, please email any changes to your roster, and on Saturday morning, please text Tanya (651-216-1417) any drops en route. Fees will NOT be reduced after Wednesday regardless of drops.
