Invitational Forensics Tournament

Location: Divine Savior

Entries: There is no entry limit in each event, however, the top 25 contestants from each school will be determined for team trophies. This is a single entry tournament – unfortunately limited classroom space prohibits us from offering multiple entries.

Rules: This tournament will follow WFCA rules.

Registration Info: Registration will open on tabroom.com on January 6. The deadline is 5:00pm on Wednesday, January 24th. Fees will freeze beginning at noon on Thursday, January 25th. Judge requirements will increase with added students. After that you can only make changes through Patrick Kay at kayp@dsha.info.

Judges: Each school must supply one qualified judge for every five entries or fraction thereof. (For example, if you have ten entries, you must provide two judges. If you have eleven entries, you must provide three judges.)

Online balloting: Online balloting will be available and judges are encouraged to submit ballots electronically. Judges who wish to use online balloting should bring a laptop or tablet. Instructions for using Speechwire’s online balloting will be provided in the judges’ lounge.

Awards:

Individual -- Trophies will be awarded to the top three students in each event. Medals will be awarded to the finalists.

Teams – Places 1 – 3 in Small (based on quality), Medium (based on quality) and Large (based on total points). Team sizes for awards will be determined based on registration numbers. Points will be calculated based on each team’s top 25 entries. 

Food: Breakfast and lunch items will be available for purchase in the Quad. Complimentary breakfast and lunch will be provided for coaches, judges and drivers in the judges’ lounge. Vegetarian and vegan options will be available.

Parking/Drop-off Info:

All students can be dropped off at the front entrance.

Tentative Schedule:

Saturday Morning Confirmation: You must confirm your entries on Saturday morning between 6:45am and 7:30am. Whether or not you have drops, please text 414-551-0312. No adds will be accepted on tournament day.
