Dear Speech Coaches, The Minnewaska Area Speech Team would like to invite you to their annual speech invitational, Saturday, February 3rd, 2024, at Minnewaska Area High School. This will entail 3 preliminary rounds and a final round for each category. I will ask schools to provide their judges prepared to conduct e-ballots at 1 for every 6 entries or a fraction thereof. All head coaches are welcome in the tab room, and I will ask assistant coaches to be willing to help with other duties as needed. Cost will be $7.00/entry-Please make checks payable to Minnewaska Area Schools. Schedule: 7:45-8:00 Registration-by the High School Office 8:30 Draws begin for round I; media center 8:45 Judges meeting 9:00 Round I 10:00 Draws for round II; media center 10:30 Round II 11:30 Draws for round III; media center 12:00 Round III 12:30 Draws for Final Round; media center 1:00 Final Round The registration deadline will be Tuesday, January 30th, and the drop/add deadline is 8:00 on Saturday, February 3rd. Food will be available for the students to purchase at the concessions stand, and food will be provided for judges and coaches in the judges’ room. The speech student center will be in the cafeteria.
