Hello, Upstate Eight Coaches!

The Streamwood High School is excited to welcome you to the Upstate Eight Conference Championship to be held at Streamwood High School (701 W Schaumburg Rd, Streamwood) on Saturday, January 27, 2024. We will be using paper ballots.

ENTRIES: Capped at 2 per category. Students cannot be triple-entered. Please do your best to finalize your entries as soon as possible. You can text me drops/adds from your bus as you travel to the tournament (224-232-7328). I will leave registration open so that you can go on Speechwire and make those drops/adds on your own from the bus.

JUDGES: All schools are required to bring three judges. (If you have more available, let me know!) Please note that your three judges must be paid by your school. The UEC pays for 15 judges hired by the host school. I will have copies of the rules book for your judges, along with samples of quality critiques.

STRUCTURE:

We will be offering a tournament with two preliminary rounds of competition (one of which will be double-judged) followed by finals. Radio and Extemp will prep once in the morning and use that script all day.

3:45 PM - Awards Ceremony

CONCESSIONS will be provided, as well as continental breakfast and lunch for judges and coaches.

BUSSES: Please have your busses drop you off at door 29. Busses can park in the back areas of the parking lot.

TEAM SPACES: Teams will have tables in our commons. Commons are located right when you enter at door 29.

We will be having signs everywhere in the building to guide you to where you need to be.
