Dear Coaches:

The Raytown Speech and Debate team would like to cordially invite you and your squad to attend the Last Blast Varsity Tournament at Raytown High School.

The tournament will be held on December 8 & 9, 2023. Raytown will be hosting the Varsity division; Raytown South will host the Novice division. Please contact Maureen Thomas (maureen.thomas@raytownschools.org) at Raytown South High School for information regarding the Novice tournament.

Varsity events include: 

Policy Debate (Reg & Champ), Public Forum Debate (Reg & Champ), Lincoln-Douglas Debate (Reg & Champ), Original Oratory, Dramatic Interp, Humorous Interp, Duo Interp, POI, Storytelling, International and U.S. Extemporaneous Speaking, Informative and Student Congress.

We will be a NIETOC bid for US Extemp, International Extemp, Oratory, Humorous Interpretation, Dramatic Interpretation, Program Oral Interpretation, Duo Interpretation, and Informative Speaking. The National Individual Events Tournament of Champions will be held May 12-14, 2023 in Chanhassen, MN.

Entry deadline will be Wednesday, November 29, 2023 through SpeechWire. ($8/entry)
