Winter 2024 Speech Season

Princeton Tigerhead Invitational – 2/24/2024

Meet Info:

The Tigerhead Invitational will be on Saturday, February 24th, 2024.

Format:

The Meet will consist of 3 rounds and a final.

All thirteen MSHSL Events will be offered.

Rosters should be updated once you get on the bus. Note on Double Entries. Please do NOT double enter in Discussion and a Draw, or two Draw events. Draw Times will not be moved. Students Double entered in a Draw Event, should go to their Draw first.

Draws will begin at 8:30 a.m. and rounds will begin at 9:00 a.m. Discussion will start 15 minutes late to accommodate Double Entries.

Round 1 – 9:00 – 10:30

Round 2 – 10:30 – 12:00

Round 3 – 12:00 – 1:15

Finals - 1:30 or ASAP

Awards – about 3:30.

There will be concessions available for contestants.

Awards:

Individual -

Tigerhead Trophies will be awarded to first place individuals

Medals to 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, place individuals.

Next-In Finals will be next six in each category.

Honorable Mention ribbons will be awarded to all students earning a single digit meld but not making finals.

Team -

Teams will be divided into 3 classes based upon entries on the day of the tournament. There will be trophies for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place for large, medium, and small schools, as well as an overall meet champion based upon Sweepstakes scoring plus finalists.

Registration Info:

The entry fee will be $7.00 per entry.

Provide one judge for every 6 entries or fraction thereof.

Initial Entries must be received by Wednesday, February 21, 2024. (Judges will be based on this #)(Drop Fee will be based on this Date)

I may have a limited # of Judges available to hire for $100.00

There will be a 520 speaker cap, so if you register late and we are full, contact me to see if I have room.
