Yellow Jacket Invitational
General information This is a High School tournament in Ohio. View manager contact information We wish you all a day of personal best and joy in your competition experiences. WELCOME: The Perrysburg Speech and Debate Team cordially invites you to The Yellow Jacket Perrysburg Speech and Debate Tournament on Saturday, December 2nd, 2023 held in the Perrysburg High School on 13385 Roachton Rd.
Registration begins at 8:00 and rounds kick off at 9:00 (extemp prep start ASAP-maybe 8:30 in a perfect world). We plan to have fast and smaller rounds and awards by 2:30 and hopefully your team will be on the bus a rolling down I75 or I90 on time.. Check out the schedule and see if this works for you!
COST AND REGISTRATION:
Registration will be through Speechwire. Please feel free to e-mail or call if there are questions. Deadlines for registration will be Wednesday at 10:00pm, Novemeber 29th. Changes after this time, please contact Jennifer Lake at jlake@perrysburgschools.net or 419-410-3189.
Cost is $5 per entry. (Duo and PF = $10). We are considering offering 2 Person Policy Debate and middle school events if there is enough interest. Please contact me ASAP if you would like to bring competitors in those events.

MS Congress: will use ODD number legislation for December 2nd.
JUDGES:
There will be a limited supply of judges for hire at our tournament: Cost $40. E-mail me if you need a judge assigned to your school. Judge ratios will be 1:5 and 1:2 for debate, 1 Congress judge per school. Congress judges may be placed in general pool for IE or debate. This tournament will be an electronic balloting. Judges will need their own personal devices.
CONCESSIONS:
Typical tournament foods will be available in the Commons throughout the day. Perrysburg prides itself on selections, delicious pizza, homemade bake goods and much more at reasonable prices. Students are encouraged to bring water bottles and use our fill stations. Also, due to the fast pace tournament, they may want to bring their own snacks too. We do have a slightly longer break around noon however ideally there should be moderate breaks for most competitors between some of their rounds.
Judges will find an assortment of soups/casseroles plus snacks and treats in the judges lounge which will now be on the second floor in the teachers lounge. Good news judges will be closer to many of competition rooms.

DIRECTIONS:
From the South/North: I-75 to I-475/23 North (Ann Arbor). Exit onto St. Rt. 25 and turn left off of the exit. Turn right on Roachton the school will be on your left. There is a drop off location for the busses on the east side of the school. Busses may park either side of building.
From the East: Take the turnpike to the I-75 Perrysburg exit. Take the 475 split right and get off at the St. Rt. 25 exit. Then see directions above.
