It’s almost time for Roaring Fork High School’s Spooktacular Novice Speech Meet.
Please join us on Saturday, October 28th at Roaring Fork High School in Carbondale, Colorado. All schools welcome!
The Public Forum Debate topic will be the November/December topic.
The Lincoln Douglas Debate topic will be the November/December topic.
Extemp topics will be sent to all schools on October 13 (or earlier).
Costumes are encouraged, so long as you remain professional during your event.

ENTRIES/EVENTS
Students may enter ONE A event and/or ONE B event. NO DOUBLING (i.e. a student cannot enter two events in the same wave). The meet will run as follows:
Wave A Events (no doubling)
Value Debate
Dramatic Interpretation
Humor Interpretation
Original Oratory
Creative Storytelling
US Extemporaneous Speaking
International Extemporaneous Speaking
Wave B Events (no doubling)
Lincoln Douglas Debate
Public Forum Debate
Program Oral Interpretation
Informative Speaking
Impromptu Speaking
DUO Interpretation
Poetry
Please register at www.speechwire.com by October 20.
The Value Debate Draw will be at 8:00AM and all Wave A events at 8:30 AM. To respect everyone’s travel times please be on time, as rounds will start with or without you.
We will run 2 rounds in every event.

JUDGES
Judges can sign up via Speechwire.
Registration is $10.00 per individual event and $20.00 per team.
There will be a drop fee of $5.00 after October 20 @ 11:59 pm
Checks can be mailed or brought the day of the tournament. Checks should be made out to Roaring Fork High School Speech Team and sent to 2270 CO-133, Carbondale, CO 81623. Visiting teams will not be refunded entry fees for drops made the morning of the meet.

FOOD
We will be providing breakfast items, juice, snacks, and lunch for all coaches and judges.
Also, we will have a concession stand open all day for the competitors and lunch items will be available for purchase ($10 a plate). We accept cash, credit cards, and Venmo.
Please encourage your students to buy from concessions as we are a new team and we are raising money for future tournaments.
