Our first Big Questions tournament will take place on Wednesday, October 4th, from 3:00 P.M. to 6:30 at Olympia High School. This tournament is designed to be a beginner-friendly season opener for both Novices and Varsity! PIZZA WILL BE PROVIDED WITH DUES. Concessions will also offer options for snacks. Be sure to bring cash if you wish to purchase anything. The fee to compete is $13 per entry and can be paid via Schoolpay. If interested, please register on the Speechwire page.

Tournament Format
Competitors will be able to choose between competing in teams of 2v2 (PF style) or mavericking in a 1v1 format (LD style). As of right now, there will be two separate divisions for teams and solo competitors. If there are not enough entries for separate divisions, teams and mavericks will combine into one pool. We will be following the Big Questions Speech times attached here. The tournament will consist of three rounds. The first two rounds will be randomized and the third round will be power matched.
Resolution: Belief in the supernatural is incompatible with belief in science.
Judging and Competitor Info
Most judging will be provided through Olympia volunteers, but if students are interested in judging and/or helping out, they may contact the tournamnet manager to do so. If there are a limited number of competitors entering at your school (1-2), or there are issues with registration, let us know so that we may enter you manually. However, the preferred form of entry is through Speechwire via coaches.
The LATEST you may register and/or drop by is September 29th. We encourage all coaches to send out this information to their students and support our fundraiser for the season!
