Welcome to the fifth annual St. Charles East Tournament! Due to scheduling, we switched our normal January tournament to November this year. So, if we saw you this past January, we hope to see you again soon in November!

DATE: Saturday, November 11, 2023 

 

STRUCTURE: Tentatively, three preliminary rounds and one final round. Depending on numbers, we may have flighted rounds. As we get closer to the date, I'll send out an update on the schedule. A coaches' meeting will be at 8:00 AM, where judges' ballots will be handed out. 

 

ENTRY:  Teams will register on Speechwire. There is a cap of 3 entries per event. However, if you would like to request more, please feel free to email me, and I will add you to the waitlist. The last day to enter entries is November 10th by 3:00 PM. You can drop entries until 6:30 a.m. on the day of the tournament. We will be scheduling the tournament that morning! Please remember to do drops prior to 6:30 AM. After that, you can text me.  

 

JUDGES: Each team is expected to bring one qualified judge for every FIVE entries.

 

FEES: 1 – 14  entries: $100, 15 – 28 entries: $150, 29 - 42 entries: $200

              

EVENTS: All 14 IHSA events. 

 

AWARDS: We'll have NOVICE and VARSITY awards this year. Also, the top 3 teams will receive awards. 

 

REGISTRATION:   Begins at 7:00 a.m. Busses can drop off at the main entrance or the back entrance of the school. Busses can park in the back lot. 

 

EXT/IMP TOPICS: Each team may submit 5 Impromptu topics and 5 Extemp questions via SpeechWire.

 

ENTRY DEADLINE: Saturday, November 3, 2023

 

RULES: All IHSA rules applied.
