Welcome to the Debate Broward Middle School Championships on April 27th at Cypress Bay High School!

 

Please follow the instructions on this page to register your entries. Remember, each school may only initially enter FIVE students in all events except Congress, in which you can enter TEN.

 

Registration for NEW ENTRIES will close on Tuesday, April 23rd at 5 pm. However, in order to give you and your students the best lunch experience possible, our hosts at Cypress Bay have to put their food order in first thing Friday morning, so they really need you to have your entries as accurate as possible before you leave work on Thursday April 18th. On Wednesday, April 24th as many students will be released from the waitlist as judge numbers allow. Changes (drops or name changes) can be made until 7 am on Saturday, April 27th. Any changes after that, please text Janell McLeod at 954-347-1235 the school name, student who is dropping, and her/his event. 

 

You MUST arrive AND check-in for the tournament between 7:30 am and 8:00 am. If you or your students arrive after 8:00 am you will run the risk of being dropped from the tournament!

 

Debate Broward will NOT be providing transportation for this tournament. You must arrange for your own transportation or parent drop-off/pick-up from Cypress Bay HS.

Congress legislation was emailed to coaches and is posted here under the "Files for Download" section. The legislation packet designates 3 pieces of legislation for each round of competition.
