Cotter Middle School Meet
General information This is a Middle School tournament in Minnesota. View manager contact information  Welcome to the registration site of the 2024 Cotter Middle School Speech Tournament (Thursday, February 29, 2024)
Cotter (Winona, MN) is excited to host a Middle School speech meet for students in grades 5th - 9th grade. Junior and Senior Speech Team members are invited to serve as judges. The meet will take place Thursday, February 29, 2024! Our tournament will feature 13 MSHSL categories and there is no limit to total team entries or categories. All students and Judges will require a Speechwire account for participation.
Tournament Format:
There will be three preliminary rounds of competition. Storytellers, Extemp Speakers, and Extemp Readers should come with their first round cutting/question/story selected and prepared.
Entry Fees:
$3.00 per entry (Duos count as one entry). Checks can be made payable to "Cotter Schools", with "Middle School Speech Meet" in the memo line.
Registration Deadline:
Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at 6:00pm.
To help better plan the rooms, please have all preliminary entries in Speechwire by Friday, February 16, 2024 at 6pm.
Judging Requirements:
Teams are required to bring one judge for every six entries. Judging must be done with a live.speechwire.com account.
Awards:
There will be team sweepstakes awarded to the winner and runner up as well as individual awards in each category.
