Dear Forensic Colleagues: 

 

You are invited to join us at North Dakota State University in Fargo, ND for the third and fourth Valley Forensic League tournaments of the 2022-2023 season. VFL 3-4 will be hosted on Friday February 24 and Saturday February 25. The competition will offer all 11 AFA-NST events on both days as well as parliamentary debate on Saturday. 

 

The entry deadline is Tuesday, February 21st at 5:00pm. Entries will be collected via Speechwire. Changes made after Wednesday, February 22nd at noon will incur a $10.00 nuisance charge. Changes made at registration will incur a $20.00 charge per slot changed. 

 

We will recognize all finalists in each event, top novice in each event, and the top three teams. We will also recognize outround participants in debate. 

League fees for the year are $125.00 and covers event entry and some refreshments for participants. The league fees do not cover uncovered judge slots, which will be $15.00 per uncovered slot. One judge will cover 6 entries, or a portion thereof. Debate judges cover 2 entries. Schools are asked to cover all slots whenever possible to cut down on hired judge costs. All judges are expected to help cover final rounds.
