You are invited to attend the 2nd Annual RTR Knights Varsity Speech Invitational!  It will be held on Saturday, March 18, at the RTR Public School in Tyler, MN.  Students in grades 6-12 may compete. 

We are excited to have you at our tournament!

We will be having 3 rounds of competition and a final in all 13 MSHSL categories. Double entries are welcome and even encouraged! We have staggered our start times so that Discussants have the option of double entering as well!

This is an in-person meet. Entry cost is $7 per single event, $14 for Duos. Make checks payable to RTR Schools.

Judges:  You must provide one judge for every six students or fraction thereof you register.  Uncovered Judges will cost $100 and availability will be limited to non-existent. Judges are asked to bring an electronic device for online balloting and critiques. There will be no paper ballots or critiques.

Concessions will be available throughout the day, as well as our trademark excellent refreshments in the Coach/Judge Lounge.

Team Attendance Registration Deadline: Friday, March 17.

Arrival: Buses may drop off students in the driveway loop off County Road 8 or in the parking lot to the south of the building.  Please have your drivers park in the south lot off Oak Street.

Round 3 Draws: 12:00 NOON

Awards: 4:00 PM

We will be giving awards in both Varsity and Novice Divisions. Novice is open to anyone in grades 6-9 or first-year speech participants. We are tentatively planning a final for Novice participants who do not make the Varsity final. Novice awards will not count for team sweeps.

Of course, we will also be awarding our famous LIGHTSABERS to all category champions!
