It is my pleasure to extend an invitation to you for the third annual Maxwell Wildcat Speech Tournament to be held on Saturday, February 25th, 2023.  At Maxwell Public Schools. 

 We will offer all ten NSAA events.  

 7:15 - 7:45 - Registration  

 8:00 - Round I - Flight A [OID, Humorous Prose, Poetry, Serious Prose, Entertainment]                                                                                                     

 9:15 - Round I - Flight B [Extemp, Persuasive, Informative, Duet, POI]                                                         

 10:30 - Round II - Flight A                                                                             

 11:45 - Round II - Flight B                                                     

 1:00 - Round III  - Flight A 

 2:15 - Round III  - Flight B 

 3:30 - Awards

* Extemp draw is at 8:15 a.m., 10:45 a.m. & 1:15 p.m. Internet service will be available.

Awards:  This will be a combined Novice and Varsity Competition with three rounds- no finals.  The top 6 will be medaled in each event.  Students may triple enter at their own discretion. Judges will not wait beyond flight time. 

Our tournament will also feature a triathlon! Students who triple enter will have the final placements of their three events combined to create a composite score and speaker points score. Medals for the triathlon will be given for the top six competitors. These awards *will not* be counted toward the sweepstakes score. 

Sweepstakes:  Plaques will be awarded for the champion and runner up schools.  

Entry Fees: will be $8.00 for each entry, individual or group.  You must provide one judge for each six entries or part thereof.  Hired judges are $75.00 apiece.  Please try to provide your own judges as we will have only a limited supply of hired judges available.  

Registration:  Registration is due on Wednesday, February 23rd.  Changes to your entry can be made up to 2:00 p.m. CST February 24th.  Adds and Event Changes will not be allowed on contest day.  

Parking: Please drop off and enter in the West Parking Lot Activities Entrance. Buses can pull around to park in the East Parking lot.
