Events available:

All ISSDA events.

One Open Division.
Registration:

Entries are due in Speechwire by Friday, February 3rd. Late entries by Sunday, February 5th.
-
Drops may be made via Speechwire until midnight on Friday, February 10th.

After that time, please text 574-323-5263 or email Heidi at hmarek@cps.k12.in.us. Entries are capped at a total of 40 per team.
Judges:
-
Please bring one judge for every 4 speakers or fraction thereof (3 Duo teams=2 judges).

We are using E-Balloting. Please bring a device.
-
Coaches - please confirm judges have speechwire accounts.
Location/Building/Parking:
-
Crown Point High School is located at 1500 S. Main Street in Crown Point. We are on Central time.

Bus Parking is availabe in front of the building, off of Main Street.
-
Please check in at the main entrance lobby. Located next to the cafeteria.
-
Our school is currently under construction. This creates some limitations in parking and access to certain parts of the school. Please inform students to NOT enter construction zones for their safety!!!!

Student area is in the cafeteria. Due to space limitations we cannot offer individual team rooms at this time.

Tab Room is in room D133. Next to the “D” Learning Commons entrance.

Judges lounge is in room D128.

Extemp prep will be in the Learning Commons (library.)
Schedule:

Final Registration is from 7:00 - 7:30AM
-
7:30AM - All teams and judges meeting in the cafeteria.

7:45AM - Extemp Prep #1 in the Learning Commons.

8:30 AM - Round 1 - All events

9:45AM - Round 2 - All events

10:45AM - Extemp Prep #2 in the Learning Commons

11:15AM - Round 3 - All events

12:15PM - Lunch
-
12:45 - Radio prep for Round 4

1:15PM - Round 4 - All events

2:30PM - Awards (anticipated)
Concessions/Food:
-
Concessions are available for students in the cafeteria. Lunch is provided for judges, coaches and bus drivers in the judges lounge.

Please bring water bottles. Our fountains have been switched to bottle fillers.
Radio:
-
Radio will be performed in the radio station.
-
Round 1 & 2 - 5 minute newscast with sign-on / sign-off, music - intro / outro. Round 3 - on-the-spot. Round 4 - sign-on/off with Editorial.

US and International Extemp will be split if the entry numbers support the split. If the entry numbers do not support it, we will combine.

All prep will take place in the Learning Commons

Prep #1 is at 7:45 for Rounds 1 & 2. Prep #2 is at 10:45 for Rounds 3 & 4.
