SpeechWire Tournament Services - Forensics Tournament Software

We would like to invite you all to the Chadron High School Speech Invitational! We are excited to have your team compete on Saturday, February 4th 2023. Please use SpeechWire to add your entries.

The initial entries are due on Tuesday, January 31st by 4:00pm. Registration will be closed Thursday, February 2nd at 4:00pm

Entry fees will be $7 per event. Please make checks payable to Chadron Public School at 901 Cedar Street, Chadron, Nebraska 69337

Please bring one judge for every 6 entries that you have, with a $20 fee for uncovered judges.

All drops need to be made on February 4th by 7:30am. If you have drops the morning of the meet, please try and drop them on the bus ride here, so that we can get started on time.

We will also be having judges fill out their ballots electronically via Speechwire LIVE.

*Performers will draw three topics and choose one topic for performance.

*Performers will be allowed a total of 30 minutes prep time.

*Performers should be in their assigned room ready to perform within 30 minutes prep time.

*Performers should present topic slip to judges before performing.

*No costumes, props or makeup may be used during the performance. (Only one chair per performer may be used.)

*Performers must present an introduction containing the topic, characters and necessary background.

*Time limit, inclusive of introduction is 4-6 minutes.
