Dear Speech Coaches:

 

We would like to take this opportunity to extend to you and your team an invitation to the Montrose High School Invitational,  to be held on Saturday, January 21, 2023.  Our team hopes to provide an efficient and helpful competitive experience that will help prepare our team members for the qualifying tournaments.

 

We will offer two waves of events over the course of the day, and students may enter one Wave A event and one Wave B event.  Please note we are not offering Festival School events at our tournament as they are not events offered at State or National qualifying tournaments for tournament schools.

 

Please note: there is a judge requirement. 1 judge for every 8 entries, $5 if you can't reach the judge requirement. This is my first tournament that I have ever done, that being said, I don't know if I can get enough judges together for my tournament. It would be extremely helpful if teams bring at least one judge.

Extemp will be combined.

 

Registration will be on speechwire.com, and fees will be $8.00 for individual events and $16.00 in team events.  

 

We will be running a concession stand with breakfast, lunch, and snack items for students, so please remind your students to bring cash.  Coaches and judges will be well fed, too, courtesy of our parents and donations we obtain from restaurants around Montrose.

This schedule is tentative and has extra time built into it, so, if possible, we will move the times up.
