Your team is cordially invited to the Oak Creek East Middle School Forensics Festival on Saturday, January, 28, 2023.  All sixth, seventh, and eighth grade middle school and junior high students are welcome. 

Be sure that there are no more than 6 contestants per category, as the MLFA middle school rules will be followed.  Group entries in Group Acting and Group Interpretation may not exceed a total of 8 entries combined. 

Any changes to your registration MUST be made by Saturday, January 21st. Keep in mind that teams MAY NOT ADD CONTESTANTS THE DAY OF THE MEET,  regardless of any drops the team may have, and dropped contestants will not be refunded or discounted from your total cost. Please plan accordingly.

SCHEDULE

                                                Registration:                                      8:00 – 8:30a.m.

                                                Judges Meeting                                8:40 a.m.

                                                Contestant meeting in the gym        8:45 a.m.

.                                               Round I                                              9:00 – 10:30 a.m.   

                                                Round II                                            10:45 a.m.  – 12:15 p.m.

                                                Ribbons:                                            12:45 pm

                                                Head for Home: Approximately        1:00 pm

AWARDS:  All contestants receive ribbons.

REGISTRATION FEE

The registration fee is $6.00 per contestant.  Each member of Group Interpretation, Group Acting, News Reporting, Special Events and Group Demonstration must pay the registration fee.  Please make checks payable to Oak Creek East Middle School.

JUDGES

Please bring one trained judge for each five entries or fraction thereof.  Groups count as individual entries.  Be certain that judges are properly trained and have read and understand MLFA middle school rules, including this year's rule changes.  As always, bringing the correct number of judges to a meet is vital for the success of the meet. (You will be charged $80 for every one of your judges that does not show up on the day of the meet.)
