Welcome to the fourth annual St. Charles East Invitational! Please read below for more information.

 

DATE: Saturday, January 14, 2023

 

STRUCTURE: Tentatively, two flighted preliminary rounds (one being double-judged), and a varsity final.  Round 1A competition will begin at 8:00; Radio and Extemp are B events, so prep will begin at 8:30 and 8:45 AM. There will be a coaches' meeting at 8:00 AM, where judges' ballots will be handed out. As we get closer to January, a final schedule will be sent out. 

 

ENTRY:  Teams will register on Speechwire. There is a cap of 3 entries per event. However, if you would like to request more, please feel free to email me, and I will add you to the wait list. The last day to enter entries is January 13, 2022 by 3:00 PM. You can drop entries until 6:45 AM on the day of the tournament. We will be scheduling the tournament that morning! Please remember to add drop prior to 6:45 AM. 

 

JUDGES: Each team is expected to bring one qualified judge for every six entries.

 

FEES: 1 – 14  entries: $100, 15 – 28 entries: $150, 29 - 42 entries: $200

              

EVENTS: All 14 IHSA events. 

 

AWARDS: All individual finalists and the top 3 teams will receive awards. 

 

REGISTRATION:   Begins at 7:00 AM  

 

EXT/IMP TOPICS: Each team may submit 5 Impromptu topics and 5 Extemp questions via SpeechWire.

 

ENTRY DEADLINE: Saturday, January 7, 2023

 

RULES: All IHSA rules applied.
