You and your students are cordially invited to participate in the 19th Annual Chaska Hawks Speech Invitational on Saturday, February 18, 2023.  We are proud to be a NIETOC bid tournament again this year.

Format:  Three rounds, finals and Honor finals   First round begins at 8:45AM for Discussion and INFO, 9:00 am for all other categories. Students can be double and triple entered but only in one Draw category. We will offer all 13 MSHSL categories as well as POI and Impromptu.

Draws:

Ex. Reading: 

• Prose
  • All stories - can't repeat a cutting from prelims in finals
• Poetry: 
  • Poems 1-107 - can't repeat a cutting from prelims in finals

Ex. Speaking: Mixed, but can indicate Domestic/International during draws

  • R2: Environmental Regulation & Resource Use
  • R3: Corporate America
  • Finals: U.S. Government
• International Topics:

Judges-Please provide one judge for every six (6) entries or fraction thereof.  Uncovered judge slots will cost $80 each.  Please make every effort to provide the number of judges required based on your entries as of 2/15/23.

Fees-$7.00 per entry.  Please make checks payable to Chaska High School Booster Club
