Hi everyone!

 

The Wausa Viking Speech Team and Wausa Public Schools are proud to host the 2022 Wausa Viking Invite. The meet is on Saturday, February 11, 2022. Registration will begin at 7:00 am and rounds will begin at 8:00 am.

 

Please confirm that you are attending the meet on Speechwire ASAP. The deadline for submitting entries is Tuesday, February 8th at 4 pm. This will allow us to make be efficient in our preparation. You will be able to adjust your own entries after that date, but to get initial room usage numbers figured out, we would like the entries a bit earlier in the week.

 

Separate divisions will be held for the varsity and JV divisions. As always, if the need should arise, we reserve the option to limit entries.  Should there be too many entries in any one event, it will be addressed on an event-by-event basis.  You will be contacted directly by me should this need arise.  Triple entries will be accepted, but extemp. speakers may only double enter.

 

Awards will be given as follows:

Medals for all varsity events places 1 through 6

Medals for all JV events places 1 through 3 and certificates for places 4 through 6.

There will be a Sweepstakes plaques for first and second place in both the varsity and JV divisions.

 

Entry fees will be $7 per individual and group entry.  Please provide 1 judge for every 7 entries or portion thereof.  Each uncovered entry will be charged $8.  There will be NO refunds for drops and NO refunds for judges if the number of judges required changes as well.  Please provide your judges with a stopwatch.  All judges will be on call for finals.

 

We will again be using E-ballots for the judges. Schematics will be accessible on devices through Speechwire for subscribers. 

 

Further information and specifics  will be sent out as the meet approaches. If any modifications/COVID Protocols need to be implemented as the meet draws near, I will send out additional information for judges and coaches.

8:15  Extemp Draw in the Elementary Multipurpose Room

9:15  Round 1 - Flight B

10:30  Round 2 - Flight A

10:45  Extemp Draw in Elementary Multipurpose Room

11:45  Round 2 - Flight B

12:45  Extemp Draw for Finals

1:00  Finals for Fight A

1:30  Finals for Flight B

1:45  Extemp Finals

3:30  Awards (sooner, if possible)
