We invite you to attend the Sixth annual East Liverpool Speech and Debate tournament to be held on November 6th 2021!

The East Liverpool Junior/Senior High Speech and Debate Team is excited to welcome you to our school for in person competition.

Speech Events: 3 Rounds, (OSDA Speech Events Only)

LD / PF Debate: 4 Rounds. Debates will use November/December NSDA topics

Congressional Debate: Preliminary Competition and Finals

Middle School: All OSDA Speech, Debate and Congress Events

We will not be offering Policy Debate, or Big Questions Debate at this time.

Fees:

$4.00 per student ($8.00 for PF and Duo)

Registration Deadline is Monday, November 1st at 8pm

Make checks payable to East Liverpool City Schools c/o Debate Team

Judges:

Deadline- Friday, November 5th at 4pm.

$30 missing Judge fee will be enforced.

1 judge for every 5 I.E. entries.

1 Judge for every 6 Congress entries.

2 Judges if over 6 Congress entries.

1 judge per 2 L/D Debaters

1 judge per for 2 PF Teams

1 judge per 5 Middle School I.E. entries

1 judge per 2 Middle School Extemporaneous Debaters

1 judge per 2 Middle School PF Teams

1 judge per 5 Middle School Congress entries

In I.E., a judge who just graduated from high school last year may NOT judge the event in which he/she competed.

In I.E. and Congress, a parent or other close family relative should NOT judge the event in which the current competitor competes.

Extemp:

Prep room is the STEM LAB on the 3rd floor. Outlets available are very limited and on a first come, first serve basis. WiFi will be available, but is password protected. Password will be provided in the Extemp room on the day of event.
