Dear Speech Coach:

 

We here at Wheaton North are pleased to announce that the 30th Technicolor Tournament will be held on November 16, 2019.  The tournament will consist of 3 prelim rounds and a Final round in all events. The schedule will be finalized once the entries are set but may have 4 staggered time slots. Once again we will be following our unique format whereby you may enter one, two or three single entry teams. (Schools may request extra entries by emailing me. Preference will be given to those schools that host contests during the year and extend Wheaton North the same courtesy at their contests).  Each team will be eligible to compete for a team award and individuals from each team will be eligible to advance to the elimination rounds.  Entry fees are $175 for 1 single entry team, $225 for 2 single entry teams and $250 for 3 single entry teams (with pre-approval).

 

 

     We will be following the IHSA rule book including preps in all rounds of extemp and the final round in radio.  Awards will be presented to the top (5) single entry teams and to all the finalists.  Snacks and lunch will be available on site.  

 

 

     If you are interested in participating, please follow the instructions in the Speechwire email and make your entries before October 25, 2019.  Confirmation of the entry to the tournament as well as complete information about the tournament will be e-mailed out October 28, 2019 using the Speechwire program.  We have to limit the size of the tournament to 56 single entry teams (not schools).  Entries received after October 25 will be placed on a waiting list.  Hope to see you in November!
