Hello!

 

  We hope you can join us for the first annual Warrior Invitation hosted at Two Rivers High School High School held on Saturday, February 11th , 2023. Two Rivers is located in Mendota Heights just east of Minneapolis and south of St. Paul. We are proud to announce that this is a NIETOC Nationals Bid Tournament for the 2022-2023 season. Let us know if you have any questions on NIETOC, or how the process works! We will offer all 13 MSHSL events plus POI and Impromptu. For Extemp Speaking competitors will be able to draw from either US or IX. 

 

The tournament will consist of three rounds and finals. We will offer novice divisions for elimination rounds. We define novices as students in their first year of speech or students in grades 7-9, regardless of experience. All students will compete together in prelims to give new students an opportunity to learn from seasoned speakers. Novices may advance to finals (top 7) or next-in finals (next 7) if they qualify. We will have awards for 1st-3rd in Large Schools and 1st in Small Schools. Cut size for large and small will be determined by entry sizes. 

 

 

Students may double enter in any events, including discussion. Highly seasoned speakers may triple enter. To celebrate students trying new events, we will offer individual sweepstakes for the top five students!

8:15 AM- Draw Meeting

 

8:30 AM - Draw Round 1-Judges Meeting

 

8:45 - Round 1 Discussion

 

9:00 AM - Round 1

 

10:00 AM - Draw Round 2

 

10:15 AM - Round 2 Discussion

 

10:30 AM - Round 2

 

11:30 AM - Draw Round 3

 

11:45 AM - Round 3 Discussion

 

12:00 PM - Round 3

 

1:40 PM - Finals Draws

 

1:45 PM- Discussion Finals

 

2:10 PM - Finals

 

4:00 PM or ASAP - Awards 

 

 

Registration and Fees

 

The cost is $7 per entry.

 

Our registration deadline is Wednesday February  8, at 4PM.

 

We will be site scheduling, so please let us know by 7:45 AM on tournament day if there are any changes. You can report changes to 612-578-5086.
