Welcome to Houston ISD’s UIL Academic District Meet

 

Please make sure that you have created a speechwire account and entered your students into your team roster before beginning the registration process.

Location: Westbury High School, 11911 Chimney Rock, Houston, Texas 77035

Arrival: Please arrive by 7:30A to ensure you are not late for any roll calls or events*

 

Registration closes Wednesday, March 9th at 4:30 pm.

 

If your school has a bus package, please remember it is your responsibility to reserve the buses in plenty of time and PLEASE reserve early enough to arrive before 7:30A so you can be sure to account for any “morning-of” mishaps. “Buses running late” will not shift the start time of the tournament or other events.

 

Registration now requires for you to input your volunteers. The system will ask you what your “type” of volunteers you are providing (i.e. “accounting”, “spelling”, etc.). Selection of these “types” is not a guarantee that the volunteer will exclusively work in that event, nor does it suggest that event is all we require. Please remember, any volunteer should be available the whole day (7:30-4:30P). Shoot me an e-mail if this is an issue.

 

 

Note that by registering your students in this tournament, you take full responsibility and ownership that each participant has completed and signed a copy of the “Extracurricular Code of Student Conduct” that is required by Houston ISD and the Professional Acknowledgement Form required by UIL from coordinators.
