We are excited for the New Jersey Speech & Debate League (NJSDL) Middle School State Championship to return to an in-person format! The tournament will be held on Friday May 13, 2022 at Long Valley Middle School ! Thank you to Christa Smith and Long Valley Middle School for hosting and thank you to Dave Yastremski and Ridge High School for providing a pool of high school judges!

 

REGISTRATION

Registration are due by Wednesday, May 11, 2022 on Speechwire.com.

 

JUDGES

We are asking each middle school to supply one judge since we have a pool from Ridge High School. I will remove the “Judge Fees” in Speechwire once registration closes and everyone has their 1 judge entered. If we are able to keep the head coaches free from judging during at least one, possibly two of the time slots, we would like to hold a planning meeting for next year since many were unable to attend last week’s NJSDL Coaches

The Long Valley Middle School team will sell pizza, snacks, and drinks at the tournament. As soon as we have a price for pizza, registered teams will be able to pre-order on Speechwire.com.
