Dear Colleagues,

The students, coaches, and alumni of the Doane University Forensics Team are SO VERY EXCITED to invite you to the Feline Frolic Swing. The first half of the swing will be held asynchronously March 1st - 4th and the second half will be IN-PERSON on the Doane University Campus in Crete, NE. Both tournaments will offer all eleven AFA individual events. Saturday will also include the experimental event, Smorgasbord. More information regarding COVID-19 Protocols are included with the "Feline Frolic (Saturday)" tournament here on Speechwire.
If you have questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us at jennifer.torres@doane.edu or nathaniel.wilson@doane.edu.

Students may enter as many events as they would like. There will be three rounds, no finals.

Ties in events with multiple sections will be broken on the following: Ranks, Head to Head, Strength of Opposition, Speaker Points.

Ties in single section events will be broken on the following: Predominance of 1's, Ranks, judge's preference, Reciprocals, Speaker Points.

One video submission per student event will be used for all rounds.

Please upload individual events to Youtube, unlisted and include the student’s full name and event in the “title” of the youtube video. When possible, please do not include the name of your college/university in the name of the Youtube account. Links must be provided with entries, by 6:00pm on March 1st.

*The tournament reserves the right to institute and utilize team event caps based on the number of teams and number of entries at the registration deadline.

2 quotations and 3 extemp questions will be posted to the tournament’s speechwire page at 8am on Monday, Feb. 28th. We trust all students and coaches to adhere to Limited Prep guidelines and honor code for preparation. Ext prep does not need to be included in the performance video. However, please include prep time in all Impromptu videos (this can make starting the video camera easier for students, and assessing time allocation possible for judging).
All Imp judges will be reminded to allow an initial 15 seconds for competitors to read the quotations, before beginning time.

If you have a student or coach with special needs, please let us know. We will be happy to provide accommodations. Specifically, If you have a judge who would like to be blocked from particular Content Warnings, please let us know.
