COVID-19 Mitigation We are still in a pandemic, and we will run our tournament in the safest ways possible to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. All WFCA COVID mitigation requirements will be in effect. This includes masks covering noses and mouths at all times, team rooms for before and after prelims, limited pre-packaged food availability, and distancing to the greatest extent possible in competition rooms and awards. Note that the Madison school district requires masks to be worn at all times indoors, except while actively performing. See the complete list of WFCA COVID mitigation requirements here: https://www2.wfcaforensics.org/images/pdf/2021-22_WFCA_Tournament_Requirements.pdf
Judges We may have a small number of hired judges available for you at a cost of $150 per judge, first come, first served. Entries Students are allowed to enter one or two events, but not both Extemp and Radio. The same material may not be used in separate events. Teams are capped at eight entries per event, 80 total entries. Due to space constraints and social distancing requirements, we are limited to 200 total entries. Food Teams may also choose to order whole pizzas through Speechwire for lunch at the cost of $7 per pizza. Place an order for whole pizzas no later than 8:00 PM on March 12, and they will be available to pick up in our cafeteria (along with paper plates and napkins for everyone) after round 3. Individual bottled water can also be included in your pizza order. Additional beverages will be available in the cafeteria. All food and drink should be taken to your team’s designated classroom. There will be a limited amount of pre-packaged snacks available, but not the typical lunch fare. The judge's lounge is in our library, which is undergoing a huge packing and moving process, so space is limited. We will have coffee, donuts, snacks and pizza for our judges in the library. If possible, we encourage coaches and judges to have lunch in their team's designated classroom.
Speechwire A registration confirmation will be emailed out after registration closes. Coaches can also view up-to-the minute fees on Speechwire.com.
Parking Buses may park on Speedway Avenue, to the southwest of the school, at the Regent Street and Highland Avenue intersection behind West. NO BUS PARKING IN THE LOT BEHIND THE SCHOOL!
Congress Email legislation to Tim Scheffler, TimScheff@aol.com , by Monday, March 14. The fee is $8 per student, and each school must supply one qualified congress judge. Register your congress entries using tabroom. We are looking forward to hosting you! If you have any questions, feel free to contact us!
