You and your students are cordially invited to participate in the 18th Annual Chaska Hawks Speech Invitational on Saturday, February 19, 2022.  We are proud to be a NIETOC bid tournament again this year.  We are currently planning on being in person but note that it could change as the time gets closer.

Format:  Three rounds, finals and Honor finals   First round begins at 9:00 am   We will offer all 13 MSHSL categories as well as POI, using NSDA rules for POI.  Students can be double entered but only in one Draw category.  Discussion rounds will start 15 minutes later to accommodate double entries.

Ex. Reading Prose:  All stories - can't repeat a cutting from prelims in finals

Ex. Reading Poetry:  All Poems - can't repeat a cutting from prelims in finals

Storytelling:  All stories - can't repeat a story from prelims in finals

Discussion Topic 1-Influences on our Democracy

Judges-Please provide one judge for every six (6) entries or fraction thereof.  Uncovered judge slots will cost $80 each.  Please make every effort to provide the number of judges required based on your entries as of 2/16/22.

Fees-$7.00 per entry.  Please make checks payable to Chaska High School Booster Club
