CSMB'S New Year's Resolution Novice (CANCELED)

November 15, 2021 Collegiate School of Medicine & Bioscience would like to invite you to attend our second annual New Year’s Resolution Virtual Novice Invitational Speech and Debate Tournament on the 12th-15th of January. We will be using Speechwire and Zoom to host rounds. This tournament will be run as a round robin.
We shall offer competition in the following events: Original Oratory, Radio Speaking, Poetry/Prose Reading, Storytelling, Informative, Duo, POI, Congress Debate (3 rounds), Lincoln-Douglas Debate (5 rounds), Policy Debate (5 rounds), and Public Forum Debate (5 rounds). We reserve the right to collapse divisions if needed. We will be enforcing a cap of FIVE entries per event given the virtual format.
Also, please note the judging obligations for each school, noted below. Please fill out our ONLINE JUDGING FORM for ANY of your school judges, including student judges. Please remember that students must be in their second year of competition with at least 150 NSDA points to judge.

Entries shall be accepted until Friday, 7th January 2022. We would appreciate your confirmed entry no later than Monday, 10 January 2022 - drops after this time forfeit the entry fee. Drops on the day of the tournament will result in a deduction of five sweepstakes points per entry.
We would like to extend our gratitude to Cara Borgsmiller and the Parkway West Speech and Debate team for putting together the norms, policies, and procedures the Saint Louis area is using for virtual tournaments. As always, we are incredibly grateful for Cara’s leadership and service to this activity and our district.
