Winter 2022 Speech Season

Princeton Tigerhead Invitational – 2/26/2022

Meet Info:

The Tigerhead Invitational will be on Saturday, February 26th, 2022.

COVID Protocols. Our District policy is Masks are encouraged but not required. Based upon Norms of previous meets we have attended, PHS Speech is asking that students, Judges, and spectators attending the PHS meet will be masked except when performing, eating, or drinking. Format:

The Meet will consist of 3 rounds and a final.

All thirteen MSHSL Events will be offered.

Rosters should be updated once you get on the bus.

Draws will begin at 8:30 a.m. and rounds will begin at 9:00 a.m. Discussion will be offset 15 Min Late to allow for DE.

Round 1 – 9:00 – 10:20

Round 2 – 10:20 – 11:40

Round 3 – 11:40 – 1:00

Finals - 1:30

Awards – about 3:30.

There will be concessions available for contestants.

Awards:

Individual -

Tigerhead Trophies will be awarded to first place individuals

Medals to 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, place individuals.

Honorable Mention ribbons will be awarded to all students earning a single digit meld but not making finals.

Team -

Teams will be divided into 3 classes based upon entries on the day of the tournament. There will be trophies for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place for large, medium, and small schools, as well as an overall meet champion based upon Sweepstakes scoring plus finalists.

Registration Info:

The entry fee will be $6.00 per entry.

Provide one judge for every 6 entries or fraction thereof.

Initial Entries must be received by Wednesday, February 23rd, 2022. (Judges will be based on this #)

I may have a limited # of Judges available to hire for $100.00 (Let me know ASAP)
