Dear Speech Coaches,
St. Anthony Village High School would like to invite you to participate in our annual You Lucky Dog Speech Tournament on Saturday, March 5, 2022.
COVID Info:
At this time, ISD 282 requires masks in our buildings. Vaccinated students will be allowed to remove their masks WHILE PERFORMING, and then must put their masks back on. Currently our district policy is that non-vaccinated competitors in all activities will be required to wear masks.
Additionally, our current COVID protocols do not allow us to have food available, i.e., no concession stand and no judges/coaches lounge.
I will update this information as our protocols change, and will make the decision about pivoting to an online tournament (NSDA Campus) by the beginning of February.
Important Information:
This tournament will include all 13 MSHSL events and POI.
Double Entry is allowed in all categories. Discussion will start 15 minutes after the rounds start to accommodate students who are double-entered.
Registration Fees:
$7.00/entry. Each DUO counts as ONE entry.
Judges:
Each school should furnish one judge for every six entries (or fraction thereof). Please make sure that judges are familiar with all categories and that they are able to stay for Final Rounds.
Discussion tasks will be drawn from the SUBSECTION portion of the outline.
Extemp. Readers and Storytellers will draw from all selections.
Schedule - If sections are small enough, we might be able to run the meet more efficiently than this.
