Upper Arlington Speech & Debate

What: Upper Arlington Invitational

When: Saturday, December 4, 2021

Where: Upper Arlington High School (NEW Address: 1625 Zollinger Rd., Upper Arlington, OH 43221)

Entries: We will not offer Policy debate at this tournament.

Fees: $5 per student.

Student Lunch: Boxed lunches will be available for purchase for $5 at the tournament. The lunch will include one piece of pizza, a bag of chips, a piece of fruit, and a cookie. Additional slices of pizza and drinks will be available for $1 each. PLEASE bring reusable water bottles to help us cut down on plastic waste!

Judges:

You should supply:

IE DEBATE CONGRESS

1-5 = 1 judge 1 or 2 = 1 judge 1 judge per school

6-10 = 2 judges 3 or 4 = 2 judges

11-15 = 3 judges

16-20 = 4 judges

Awards:

Awards to 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th.

Sweepstakes trophies to the top three schools (points per entry).

Schedule:

8:00 - 8:30 - Registration

8:30 - 8:45 - Opening Assembly

8:45- 8:55 - Judges Meeting

9:00 - Round 1 for all (3 total rounds for IE, 4 for PF and LD)

3:00 - Awards

Extempers should report to the prep room at 8:30am.
