November MDL
General information

The MDL is opening its doors to any school in Wisconsin that would like to attend! As discussed at the Fall meeting, the November 19th tournament is open to all WDCA members in addition to MDL members.
To compete, please keep in mind the following:

Novice teams are limited to: moon base neg/aff, India DA, Debris neg/ aff, topicality (all from WDCA packet). JV and Varsity are unlimited with Disclosure (full disclosure is not required, but the usual general idea of positions not in the Novice Packet is required). Disclosures will be posted on the tournament website and must be submitted by 3:00 pm on November 15th.

All teams WILL be switch side. We will be offering Novice, JV, and Varsity divisions. (These may be collapsed as needed due to numbers)

In keeping with the Urban Debate League model, there is no entry fee and lunch (Pizza and salad usually, with a dessert and a drink) is provided at a low cost of $6 per student for non-MDL Schools. The fee is simply to offest the cost of the extra food that will be needed. This can be paid at the tournament site.

Our tournaments run a single day, Policy Switch Side divisions only, with 3 rounds of randomly paired competition. We begin registration at 8 am (serving a light breakfast that is free for all participants) and usually have awards done by around 5:00.

Prep Time is 5 minutes.
The November MDL will be held at Rufus King High School, 1801 W Olive St, Milwaukee, WI.

The tournament is only open to those that are invited, so you MUST send your email and be invited before you can see details and register on the site. Creating an account and registering for SpeechWire to be invited does not constitute a commitment to attend.
