SFCFL 1: Online | October 16, 2021


The virtual Speech & Debate world invites you to the 1st virtual SFCFL tournament on Saturday, October 16, 2021.   Remember, you must be a paid member of SFCFL to attend this tournament. Membership information and applications may be found at sfcfl.org Additionally, any student who wishes to compete at the Grand Final Tournament in March must attend one complete SFCFL tournament. For official rules, please visit www.sfcfl.org

STUDENT ENTRY FEE:   $12.00 per student payable to SFCFL.

JUDGE REQUIREMENTS:      1 judge for every 5 IE (including Congress), and 1 judge for every 2 debaters or fraction thereof, but you cannot mix PFD or LD judges. Please make certain you have the correct number of debate judge.

REGISTRATION DEADLINE:    Enter online at   www.speechwire.comEntries will be accepted through Wednesday October 13, 2021.  Changes and drops may be made until Thursday, October 14, 2021 at 10:00 a.m., but you will be charged the entry fee for any student originally entered.  The web site will be closed Tuesday night.

TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE:  Registration will be online and require just a verification of entry. We will offer 5 rounds of competition in all events and 3 sessions of Congressional Debate.

LINCOLN DOUGLAS DEBATE (Novice & Varsity): 2021 September/October NSDA Topic: Resolved: The member nations of the World Trade Organization ought to reduce intellectual property protections for medicines.

STUDENT CONGRESS LEGISLATION:  e-mail by Monday October 4, 2021 to dariocamara@gmail.com. Legislation will be posted on on Speechwire under "Files for Download" on or around Tuesday October 5, 2021.
