Hello Speech Coaches!
The Minneota Speech Team would like to invite your teams to the Minneota Viking Invitational! Our tournament will be held on Saturday, March 27th at Minneota High School. There will be 3 prelim rounds and finals with first round starting 9 (Draws will begin at 8:30). Students in grades 6-12 are eligible to compete. DOUBLE ENTRIES ARE ALLOWED! TRIPLE ENTRIES ARE ALLOWED ONLY THIS YEAR-2021!
In addition to individual awards to the top 6 competitors, we will also have team trophies up for grabs! We look forward to seeing you and your team members in March!

8:30 a.m. Draws for Round 1
9:00 a.m. Round 1 All Events except Discussion
9:15 a.m. Round 1 Discussion
10:00 a.m. Draw Round 2
10:30 a.m. Round 2 All Events except Discussion
10:45 a.m. Round 2 Discussion
12:00 p.m. Round 3 All Events but Discussion-Draws repeat from round 1 or 2
12:15 p.m. Round 3 Discussion
1:45 p.m. FINALS Flight 1: Discussion, Drama, Duo, Humor, Info, Poetry, Prose
2:30 p.m. FINALS Flight 2: Creative Expression, Extemp Reading, Extemp Speaking, Great Speeches, Original Oratory, Storytelling
4:30 p.m. Awards! (tentative)
We will be using all stories for storytelling. For discussion, we will have tasks from both sections of the outline. We will be using all selections for Prose Extemporaneous Reading.
Registration: You may bring as many students as you like and DOUBLE ENTRIES ARE ALLOWED. For 2021, TRIPLE entries are ok.
Judges: Please provide one judge for every 6 entries or fraction thereof. Limited judges are available for hire - please send a separate email to me if you are planning on hiring one. Our judge fee is $100.
Fees: $8.00 per entry. Duo pairs $16.00. Make checks payable to Minneota Speech Team.
