Welcome to Western Conference and the Bearcat Invite.  This year we are adding an invitation alongside our conference meet.  We hope to see you in Scottsbluff on February 27th! The meet will be held at Scottsbluff High School.  Please use online registration on Speechwire.  If you are entering conference use the code WTC.  If you are entering the invitation side, please use the VARSITY code.  Registration closes Wednesday February 24th at 5:00 PM.  Entries for the invitational side will be $7.00 per event.  Each judge on the invitation side covers 6 entries.  Conference schools are allowed 3 entries in the individual events, and 2 in Duet and OID.  Invitational side competitors will be limited to 5 contestants in each solo event, three duets, and two OIDS.  All drops need to be made by 7:30 am on February 27th; however, we greatly appreciate early drops. If you have drops the morning of the meet, please try and drop them on the bus ride here (via text), so we can get the meet started on time. Excessive drops made Saturday morning may be charged an inconvenience fee.

We will be using electronic ballots for this meet.  Please make sure any judges provide an email address.
A hospitality room will be offered for judges, coaches, and bus drivers.
We will see what the new requirements allow in relation to awards, but are going to try to have a LIVE awards ceremony, potentially in the gym.  If not, we will host it via ZOOM.

For the CONFERENCE MEET, we will allow Senior competitors to have two parents attend to watch their rounds.  We will need a list of seniors from the conference teams and the name of their parents/guardians for admittance.

The following safeguards will be implemented due to COVID.
No spectators (with the exception of senior parents of Conference participants)
All people on campus MUST wear a mask at all times.
Participants may or may not wear their mask ONLY when they are actively performing.
Each school will be given a homeroom (or area) where students who are not currently performing will reside.  (Masks are still required in those rooms.)
Only participants and judges are allowed in performance rooms and must socially distance.  In addition, at the end of the room or when leaving those individuals are responsible for sanitizing the desks they used.
Sanitation of hands when entering and leaving each room is required.
The awards ceremony may be live or VIA Zoom.
Box lunches and snacks will be available for judges, coaches, drivers.
No concessions will be available on campus.
No food or drink is allowed in the classrooms.
If students are to eat or drink, this must occur in the cafeteria. Individuals should be seated no more than 3 to a table and properly socially distanced.

We look forward to seeing you IN PERSON on the 27th!
