The Creighton Prep Jr. High Pecking Order IX is scheduled for Friday, April 9th of this year. 

 

This tournament will be unlike any tournament you have competed at as it will be competed ALL ONLINE, VIRTUALLY. We will be using Zoom to host the tournament, and will send out the link to compete one week before our tournament date. For this tournament, the events offered this year are: Declamation, Duet Acting, Dramatic Interpretation, Entertainment, Extemporaneous, Humorous Interpretation, Impromptu, Informative, Persuasive, Poetry and Congress. Due to previous years' low entries we have combined Informative and Entertainment to make one event under the title of Entertainment/Informative. We will be giving awards out to the top 6 competitors in each event, as well as awarding the top 3 teams in sweepstakes. We are also offering Congress for the first time! This will supplement what your students are learning in social studies! In Congress, students will have two weeks before the tournament to prepare writing speeches, whether for or against the certain bills. You will have until Thursday, March 25th to submit bills you would want to debate. The first hour of the Congressional session will be a walk through for Congress should look, as well as speaking tips and tricks!
