PARK- COTTAGE GROVE TOURNAMENT [VIRTUAL]
SATURDAY, MARCH 20, 2021
Coaches,
We are so excited to host you (virtually) this year, after having our tournament canceled at the eleventh hour last year due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
We plan to utilize NSDA Campus for this tournament, as it has become the standard for competition this season, and want to remain consistent in platform. We understand that we fall after Sections for some schools, but hope to offer another opportunity for students to perform their pieces, and a last hurrah for those still preparing for sub-section and Section tournaments!
Format:
-We will have 3 preliminary rounds and a final round, with Honor Finals in select categories based on number of entries.
-This tournament offers all 13 MSHSL Speech Categories, and we are excited to announce that as a fun add-on, we will offer Children's Literature! For more information on this fun & playful category, please see the 'Files for Download' link on the tournament Homepage!

Awards- Full results packets will be sent to coaches ASAP and coaches can announce/release the information with their students how they would like! We have experienced a variety of Awards styles at this point in the season, and have found that we enjoy celebrating our students together with a fun PowerPoint to announce our finalists! Celebrate how you see fit (and enjoy a little extra time on your Saturday without waiting for a livestream)! In lieu of physical awards, we will be sending out a certificate template for you to fill out/distribute to your students.
Costs/Registration:
Please update registration via Speechwire by 8:00 a.m., and call/text Tournament Manager Erin Bowes at 651-399-6475 to confirm. **We may add a Google form at some point; keep an eye out for update emails!**
Each entry will be charged $7.00
Judges are required at a ratio of 1 judge per 6 students competing, or fraction thereof.
We have judges available to purchase for the tournament for $100; any uncovered entries will automatically be charged this amount to their invoice.
