The virtual Speech & Debate world invites you to the 4th virtual SFCFL tournament on Saturday, January 23, 2021. Remember, you must be a paid member of SFCFL to attend this tournament. Membership information and applications may be found at sfcfl.org Additionally, any student who wishes to compete at the Grand Final Tournament in March must attend one complete SFCFL tournament. ENTRY LIMIT: 10 entries in each category. DOUBLE ENTRY IS ALLOWED IN SPEECH EVENTS.
STUDENT ENTRY FEE: $10.00 per student payable to SFCFL.
JUDGE REQUIREMENTS: 1 judge for every 5 IE (including Congress), and 1 judge for every 2 debaters or fraction thereof, but you cannot mix PFD, WD or LD judges. Please make certain you have the correct number of debate judge.
REGISTRATION DEADLINE: Enter online at www.speechwire.com. Entries will be accepted through Wednesday January 20, 2021. Changes and drops may be made until Thursday at 10:00 a.m., but you will be charged the entry fee for any student originally entered. The web site will be closed Wednesday night.
TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE: Registration will be online and require just a verification of entry. We will offer 5 rounds of competition in all events (3 rounds in Novice/Varsity Team Debate) and 3 sessions of Congressional Debate and 4 rounds of World Schools Debate.
All judges must be register via Speechwire account by the deadline Wednesday January 20, 2021.

WORLD SCHOOLS MOTIONS:
During the pandemic, this House supports federal subsidies for the arts that exceed broader funding for small businesses and employees (ex. include but are not limited to supporting the creation of new art, keeping art venues open, etc.)
This House would ban fracking.
This House supports collective bargaining for teachers, including the right to strike.
This House regrets the dominance of the two-party system in American politics.
