The Cambridge-Isanti Speech Team coaches are pleased to invite you to the Cambridge-Isanti Speech Regatta.

Date: Saturday, March 27th, 2021

Location: Online - NSDA Campus for all categories except Duo.

Categories: All 13 MSHSL categories. Discussion tasks will be based on Section I of the outline.

Format: Hybrid- Three rounds and a final. With the exception of Duo, we will be running a synchronous meet through NSDA campus. Duo will be an asynchronous event.

Duo Recordings: Duos are expected to follow the MSHSL rules for duo recordings. These rules are explained here: Rules for Duo Video Recordings

NO Double Entries: We see this meet as final preparation for postseason competition when students should be focusing on one competitive category.

Team Trophies:

Sweepstakes Champion
Large Schools: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place
Small Schools: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place

Individual Awards:

Medals for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.
Ribbons for 4th-6th place
Certificates for 7th-8th place
Ribbons for honorable mention.

Schedule:

Draws: 8:30
Round 1: 9:00
Round 2: 10:20
Round 3: 11:40
Finals: 1:30
Awards Live-Streamed: approximately 3:15

Cost: $6 per entry; duos count as one entry; no double entries are allowed; no limit in a category. (Make check payable to Cambridge-Isanti High School)

Judges: One judge per every 6 entries or portion thereof, regardless of subsequent drops. Please assign the number of judges you have registered even if your student entries lower at the last minute. Your judges will be scheduled, and we will be depending on them. We may have a limited number of judges available to hire for $100. Please indicate whether your judge is affiliated with your school (knows your students) or is unaffiliated. Unaffiliated judges will be pre-assigned finals in categories which you have students.

Registration: Due by 5:00 PM Wednesday, March 24th, 2021. Register using Speechwire.com. If last minute emergencies arise, Lee is also available at 763-222-8755.
