Welcome to the Maverick Invitational. We are excited to host you on Saturday, January 30th, 2021.

Events: We are pleased to offer LIVE (NSDA campus) competition in all events. We offer the following speech events Original Oratory, Mixed Extemporaneous, Dramatic Interpretation, Humorous Interpretation, Program Oral Interpretation, and Informative. We are also hosting the following debate events: Congressional Debate, World Schools Debate, Public Forum, and Lincoln Douglas. Each school will initially be limited to 5 entries per Speech/Congress event and 2 entries per Debate event. This is to ensure all teams have the ability to take advantage of low entry fee participation. Beginning January 15th, waitlisted students will be admitted until we reach our cap.

Rounds: There will be 4 rounds of competition and Finals in Speech events. Congress will have 3 preliminary sessions and a Final Session. World Schools Debate, Lincoln Douglas and Public Forum will have 5 rounds.

Judges: In order to run a smooth and efficient tournament, we will need you to provide 1 judge for every 5 entries in Speech/Congress and 1 judge for every 2 entries in WSD, PF, and LD. There is a $100 charge for missing judges. Judges may be used across pools to facilitate the timely advancement of rounds.

Entry fee: Entry fees will be $0 per competitor. In an effort to support our community, we have reduced our fee's this year.
