Hello Friends,

By now, you are probably full of the beautiful, carb-y goodness that is the OATS (Online Asynchronous Tournament Series). This group of tournaments, created to respond to student calls for accessible tournaments, hopes to prioritize accessibility and affordability for teams across the US. We're up to the OATS #4, and we're excited to have Midland University hosting this week!

This multi-tournament series will run for the duration of the 2020-2021 season. The dates for video submission for the remaining OATS include:
        
OATS 4: Mon, Jan 25    
OATS 5: Mon, Feb 8    
OATS 6: Mon, Feb 22    
OATS 7: Mon, Mar 22 (Last Chance NFA Qualification Tournament)
Each tournament will run Monday-Friday of the tournament week.

TL:DR Details
-Tournaments will be fully asynchronous, including finals
-Entries and video links are due to Speechwire on Monday @ 8 p.m. CST
-Content warnings are encouraged to give adequate warning to judges/competitors
-No late adds are allowed
-OATS tournaments will utilize an honor system for judges and competitors
-Preliminary rounds will be judged from Tuesday through Thursday @ 4 p.m. CST; Final rounds will be judged from Thursday p.m. through Friday @ 2 p.m. CST
-Postings will go live on Thursdays at 6 p.m. CST (or ASAP depending on ballot completion)
-All 11 categories will be offered per released AFA guidelines
-The one-time $200 Series Fee pays for all “covered-slot” entries for all OATS tournaments
-Uncovered slots will incur an additional $5 fee
-Payments accepted by Venmo, PayPal, or by check
-We request video submissions be unique to this tournament, but we will not check or enforce this practice
