The Perham High School Speech Team is excited to host their second annual
Jacket Classic!
Our tournament will be held virtually
Saturday, March 13, 2021
Please make note of the following items:

Registration will end at 8:00 AM. A Zoom link will be sent out to Coaches and Judges the week of the tournament.

Draws begin at 8:30 AM. The draw room Zoom link will be sent out to Coaches the week of the tournament.

Discussion will begin at 8:45 AM to allow for double-entries.

All speakers, except discussants, will begin at 9:00 AM.

We will offer all 13 MSHSL events and will also offer Program Oral Interp (POI).

Duo will be asynchronous- all duo entries must submit a recording to the video link section of Speechwire by Wednesday, March 10. Tab staff will review the links to ensure they are working. Recommendations for how to record duos to retain equity in performance are posted in Speechwire.

We will offer three preliminary rounds and final (top 1-7) and honor (8 -14)

Medals will be awarded to the top seven (7) finalists and superior ribbons will be awarded to the contestants in honor finals. We will also have team sweeps for the top three (3) teams. All awards will be mailed out to teams on Monday, March 15.

There will be no formal awards program on Saturday. After final tabulations, we will email the coaches of each team a PDF with results so teams may host their own awards program at their convenience.

Please provide one judge for every six (6) contestants. We may have extra judges available for $100 per judge, please email the tournament host.

You must register judges by Wednesday, March 10. Please do not drop any judges if you have a change in speakers after March 10.

Each entry will be $7.00. There are no limits per entry, however, please no triple-entries for competitors in Discussion or Draw Categories.

We will charge a $1.00 fee for drops made after Wednesday, March 10.
