Dear Friends and Colleagues,
It has taken us a while, in this crazy new world, but the 2020 GlenOak Adult Booster Club Debate Tournament
is now open for registration!
Complete tournament details are contained in our Invitation which is posted in "Files for Download" on our SpeechWire site. Please, read the invitation! We changed it up some to reflect our 2020 realities! You may even get a chuckle from the Invitation. Our Invitation will answer 97.3% of your tournament questions and, possibly, give you more information than you want!
Normally, we dislike sending frequent SpeechWire updates. But in this virtual competition world, we may plague you with more than normal frequency. Apologies!
Briefly:
The 2020 GOABCD. will be Friday, December 18 & Saturday, December 19, 2020 "at" GlenOak High School in Canton, Ohio - The beautiful Pro Football Hall of Fame City.
We offer two days of competition in Policy, Lincoln-Douglas, Public Forum and Congressional Debate.
We will be using the 2020-2021 Policy Debate resolution; the NOVEMBER/DECEMBER 2020 Lincoln-Douglas and Public Forum debate resolutions. This makes Bollas very sad, but such is 2020! The Congressional Debate docket will utilize legislation from the OSDA November & December dockets. Legislation for the preliminary and final rounds of Congressional Debate will be posted under "Files for Download" on our SpeechWire site by Tuesday, December 08, 2020.
All competition will be held through the SpeechWire and NSDA Campus platforms.
Registration fees are the same as 2019! We have eliminated the base entry fee, "drop" fees and judge fees (we still gotta have judges!)! We will work with any school having $$$ issues!
JUDGES - "BRING" 'EM!
Since we are not preparing food, nor dealing with real rooms, our registration deadline is very flexible! We would like to have tentative school registration by Wednesday, December 16, 2020, BUT our final deadline is when you register on Friday, December 18, 2020.
