 Event/Entry Logistics
We are doing something new this year: INDIVIDUAL SWEEPSTAKES!!! This award will operate similar to Team Sweepstakes. Students will earn cumulative points based on their individual ranks. Individual Sweepstakes placing will be based on who has the highest accumulation of points throughout the day, with points earned in Double and Triple entries counting as well. Point accumulation is as follows: Rank 2: 2 points Rank 3: 1 point
We will be offering all 13 MSHSL categories, including POI. Double entry is allowed, as is Triple Entry, but it is the student’s responsibility to ensure they make it to their round on time. Students may not triple enter if they are in draw categories or Discussion.
There will be Finals, and Honor Finals where entry numbers permit.

We are also adding a unique twist to Extemp Finalists: Hypotheticals. The final rounds of Extemp will focus on a hypothetical situation, and all finalists will be presented with the same situation (with differences for International and Domestic areas). To maximize each student’s potential, internet access is allowable for the final round. An example of a hypothetical looks like this:
E-Ballots Since this tournament will be virtual, your judges and students will need accounts with NSDA Campus. All of the judges ballots will be E-Ballots, and all room assignments will be sent out in NSDA Campus’s portal. Information on registering your judges and students for NSDA Campus will be sent out in late December, so as to allow for any updates with the system to occur.
