You are invited to attend the 26th Annual Millard South Squashfest Tournament on Friday, Nov 20th. 

 

Events

All students may double enter. Triple-entry is available for students interested in Triathlon. HI, DI, Poetry, Original Oratory, Informative, Entertainment, POI, and Extemp.

 

Format

We will be hosting two preliminary rounds of competition, finals, and then awards. 

 

ONLINE COMPETITION

This year we will host using Speechwire and NSDA Campus. The rounds will take place in live Zoom-like rooms in order to allow interaction between judges and competitors. We will also have virtual rooms available judges and the tabroom. As we get closer to the tournament date, I will send more information! Please let me know if you have any questions as we get closer to November 20th.

 

Awards

Ballots this year will be online! So no round ribbons will be awarded. Champion recognition will be awarded to the first place over all finishers and Finalist recognition for second through sixth. There will also be a team sweepstakes award for the top three finishing teams. One triple-entered student will be recognized as the triathlon winner. 

 

Judging

We ask that you bring one judge for every five entries. Since we are using e-ballots this year, judges need a valid email address when If you register them on Speechwire.

 

Fees

Entries at $10.00 per entry and judge fees are $20.00 per uncovered entry/slot. With the logistics of hosting remotely we will lose concession stand revenue. To combat this, we increased our entry fee. This will change in future years when we can safely compete in-person. Thank you for understanding.

 

E-Ballots

We will use electronic ballots this year! Please have an electronic device (phone, ipad, or laptop) with wireless capabilities in order to fulfill judging requirements. We will run a quick tutorial to train our judges on how to use e-ballots before the tournament starts.  

 

Entry Deadlines

Registration will close at 5:00pm on Tuesday, November 17.
