THE CDC DECEMBER OPEN WILL BE HOSTED ON SATURDAY, DECEMBER 12, 2020. REGISTRATION WILL BEGIN AT 8:00 A.M.  AND CLOSE AT 8:30 A.M. ON SATURDAY MORNING. A ZOOM LINK FOR REGISTRATION AND TOURNAMENT COMPETITION WILL BE SENT OUT TO ALL REGISTERED COACHES ON FRIDAY EVENING.

Teams will be initially limited to 6 entries in each debate event, but more entries may be accepted later if space permits.

To help students maximize the benefits of online competition and what they learn from the CDC tournament experience, all judges will be encouraged to disclose their decisions and give oral critiques after each round.

Tournament topics will be the NOVEMBER/DECEMBER 2020 NSDA designated topics:

Schools participating in Extemporaneous Speaking should provide 1 judge per 3 entries. We will have access to a limited number of judges for hire at a rate of $40 per day. Please communicate with tournament directors by Friday, December 4, 2020 to request hired judges.
